NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course
Date and Time of Class: March 7, 2020 08:00AM – 5:00PM
Registration closes: March 6, 2020 
Cost: $100 CASH ONLY paid on the date of the class (discounts for Desert Marksmen Members, NRA Antelope Valley Member Council, and Fin & Feather Members).

Lunch: Bring a lunch there will not be time to go and get food.

If you are a new Shooter this course will provide you with the basic fundamentals of Shotgun shooting to increase your knowledge and skills.

This course is at least eight-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets.
Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development.
Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.

Course Goal: To teach the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a Shotgun safely.

To qualify for the class you need to be 18 years or older. If you are under 18 please contact Chuck Sparks. 

You will need: eye and hearing protection, a shotgun, 50 rounds of #7 ½ or 8 shot shotgun shells in the Gauge of your shotgun. If you do not have a shotgun to use please contact Chuck Sparks.
