Urban Tactical Matches are held on the third Saturday of the month. Come out and have some fun.
Our matches are informal and friendly, and are designed to sharpen your firearms skills under realistic conditions. Every match will require a pistol and a rifle/PCC or shotgun; we will announce which is required on our “Course of Fire” page each month. (If you don’t have a required weapon, no worries – we will be able to help you out!)
We incorporate movement, the use of cover/concealment, decision making, target discrimination, communication, and other “tactical” considerations in our matches, so be prepared to think as well as shoot. We use paper targets, steel targets, clay pigeons, and other less common targets in our courses of fire, so you never know what you might be facing!
Bring at least three mags for rifle/pistol/PCC, and both birdshot and buckshot/slug for shotgun days. You will need a good holster and spare magazine pouch for your pistol (we sometimes require – or at least encourage – that your pistol be concealed, so please bring a concealed holster even if it isn’t your primary “range carry” method). A sling for your long gun and a way to carry spare ammo is also highly encouraged. Beyond that, there are very little restrictions on firearm/ammo choices.
Come out, make some friends, ask questions – we are all learning – and most of all – HAVE FUN!
